Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and from the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) I could tell that something distressing had happened to him. He performed ablution and did not speak to anyone. I drew near the apartments and heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "O people! Allah Almighty has said: Enjoin good and forbid evil before you call upon Me and I do not answer you, you ask of Me and I do not give you, and you seek My help and I do not help you." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Ibn Majah has recorded part of this narration.
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Asim bin Umar, who is one of the majhul (unknown) narrators.
