بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يَأْمُرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ عِنْدَ فَسَادِ النَّاسِ .

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ لِهَذَا الدِّينِ إِقْبَالًا وَإِدْبَارًا ، أَلَا وَإِنَّ مِنْ إِقْبَالِ هَذَا الدِّينِ أَنْ تَفْقَهَ الْقَبِيلَةُ بِأَسْرِهَا حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى فِيهَا إِلَّا الْفَاسِقُ أَوِ الْفَاسِقَانِ ذَلِيلَانِ ، فَهُمَا إِنْ تَكَلَّمَا قُهِرَا وَاضْطُهِدَا . وَإِنَّ مِنْ إِدْبَارِ هَذَا الدِّينِ أَنْ تَجْفُوَ الْقَبِيلَةُ بِأَسْرِهَا فَلَا يَبْقَى فِيهَا إِلَّا الْفَقِيهُ وَالْفَقِيهَانِ ، فَهُمَا ذَلِيلَانِ إِنْ تَكَلَّمَا قُهِرَا وَاضْطُهِدَا . وَيَلْعَنُ آخِرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ أَوَّلَهَا ، أَلَا وَعَلَيْهِمْ حَلَّتِ اللَّعْنَةُ حَتَّى يَشْرَبُوا الْخَمْرَ عَلَانِيَةً حَتَّى تَمُرَّ الْمَرْأَةُ بِالْقَوْمِ فَيَقُومَ إِلَيْهَا بَعْضُهُمْ فَيَرْفَعُ بِذَيْلِهَا كَمَا يَرْفَعُ بِذَنْبٍ النَّعْجَةِ ، فَقَائِلٌ يَقُولُ يَوْمَئِذٍ : أَلَا وَارَيْتَهَا وَرَاءَ الْحَائِطِ ، فَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِيهِمْ مِثْلُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ فِيكُمْ ، فَمَنْ أَمَرَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَى عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ فَلَهُ أَجْرُ خَمْسِينَ مِمَّنْ رَآنِي وَآمَنَ بِي وَأَطَاعَنِي وَبَايَعَنِي " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ يَزِيدَ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This religion has an advance and it will have a retreat. Part of the advance of this religion is that an entire tribe will acquire understanding of the religion, and in the whole tribe only one or two sinners will remain, who will be lowly; their state will be that if they speak, they will speak suppressed and subdued. And the retreat of this religion will be that an entire tribe will turn harsh, and among them there will be only one or two scholars, and both of them will be lowly; if they speak, they will speak suppressed and under duress. And the last part of this Ummah will curse its first. Beware! The curse will become due upon those people, until they drink wine openly, until a woman will pass by some people, and one man among them will get up, go to that woman and lift up the hem of her garment just as a goat's tail is lifted. At that time someone will say: Take her behind the wall. Among those people, that man's standing will be like that of Abu Bakr and Umar among you. Whoever at that time enjoins good and forbids evil will receive a reward like that of fifty of those who saw me, believed in me, obeyed me and gave me their pledge of allegiance."
