كتاب الفتن - أعاذنا الله منها
Book of Tribulations (may Allah protect us from them)
بَابٌ فِيمَا كَانَ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَالسُّكُوتِ عَمَّا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ .
What occurred between the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and keeping silent about their disputes

وَعَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ قَالَ : جَعَلَتْ رُءُوسُ هَذِهِ الْخَوَارِجِ تَجِيءُ فَأَقُولُ إِلَى النَّارِ ، فَقَالَ لِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ : مَا يُدْرِيكَ ؟ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَذَابَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ فِي دُنْيَاهُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالصَّغِيرِ بِاخْتِصَارٍ وَالْأَوْسَطِ كَذَلِكَ ، وَرِجَالُ الْكَبِيرِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالصَّغِيرِ بِاخْتِصَارٍ وَالْأَوْسَطِ كَذَلِكَ ، وَرِجَالُ الْكَبِيرِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Abu Burdah narrates: The heads of the Khawarij were brought, and I said: "These will go to Hell." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "How do you know (what will happen)? I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Allah Almighty has placed the punishment of this Ummah in their worldly life.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir in abridged form, and in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat likewise; the narrators of al-Mu'jam al-Kabir are the narrators of the Sahih.
