Book of Tribulations (may Allah protect us from them)
33 - كِتَابُ الْأَدَبِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 33 - 1 - بَابُ تَوْقِيرِ الْكَبِيرِ وَرَحْمَةِ الصَّغِيرِ . 12610 - عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَيْسَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْ لَمْ يُجِلَّ كَبِيرَنَا ، وَيَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا ، وَيَعْرِفْ لِعَالِمِنَا حَقَّهُ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Seeking refuge from trials

وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ عِنْدَهُ أَيْضًا : أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَعَوَّذُ فِي صِلَاتِهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَغْرِبِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
In a narration recorded by him, the words are: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to seek refuge from the trial of the West during his prayer. The narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
