وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّ اللَّهَ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - حِينَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ الْخَلْقَ يَبْعَثُ مَلَكًا فَيَدْخُلُ الرَّحِمَ فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ مَاذَا ؟ فَيَقُولُ : غُلَامٌ أَوْ جَارِيَةٌ ، أَوْ مَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ فِي الرَّحِمِ ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ شَقِيٌ أَمْ سَعِيدٌ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ مَا أَجَلُهُ ؟ مَا خَلَائِقُهُ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : كَذَا وَكَذَا ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ مَا رِزْقُهُ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : كَذَا وَكَذَا ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ مَا خُلُقُهُ ؟ مَا خَلَائِقُهُ ؟ فَمَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا وَهُوَ يُخْلَقُ مَعَهُ فِي الرَّحِمِ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends to create (any one of His) creation, He sends an angel. He enters the womb and says: O my Lord! What will this be? The Lord says: It will be a boy or it will be a girl, or whatever Allah Almighty intends to create in the womb, He creates. The angel asks: O my Lord! Will it be wretched or fortunate? The Lord says whether it will be wretched or fortunate. The angel says: O my Lord! When will its death come? What will its character be? The Lord says: It will be such-and-such. The angel asks: O my Lord! What will its provision be? The Lord says: It will be such-and-such an amount. He says: O my Lord! What will its manners and traits be? So every single thing is created along with that person in the womb."
