وَعَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ فِيمَا يَرَى النَّائِمُ غَنَمًا سُودًا تَتْبَعُهَا غَنَمٌ عُفْرٌ ، فَأَوَّلْتُ أَنَّ الْغَنَمَ السُّودَ الْعَرَبُ وَالْعُفْرَ الْعَجَمُ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ سَيِّئُ الْحِفْظِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I saw in a dream black sheep followed by dust-coloured sheep. I interpreted it to mean that the black sheep are the Arabs and the dust-coloured sheep are the non-Arabs."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Ali bin Zayd, who is thiqah (trustworthy) but has a poor memory; the remaining narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.
