بَابٌ فِيمَنْ كَذَبَ فِي حُلْمِهِ .

وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ كَذَبَ فِي الرُّؤْيَا مُتَعَمِّدًا كُلِّفَ عَقْدَ شَعِيرَةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . قُلْتُ : رَوَى التِّرْمِذِيُّ غَيْرَ قَوْلِهِ : " مُتَعَمِّدًا " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ عَامِرٍ الثَّعْلَبِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever deliberately lies about a dream will be obliged on the Day of Resurrection to tie a knot (between grains) of barley." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Tirmidhi recorded this report, but he did not transmit the word "deliberately".
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-A'la bin Amir al-Tha'labi, who is da'if (weak).
