وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " تَعَاهَدُوا الْقُرْآنَ ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، لَهُوَ أَشَدُّ تَفَصِّيًا مِنْ صُدُورِ الرِّجَالِ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ الْمُعَقَّلَةِ إِلَى أَعْطَانِهَا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ الطَّبَرَانِيَّ أَحْمَدَ لَمْ يَنْسِبْهُ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ هُوَ ابْنَ الْخَلِيلِ فَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَهُ فَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Keep up with the Qur'an! By the One in whose hand is my soul, it escapes from the breasts of men more quickly than a tethered camel escapes toward its resting place."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that the lineage of al-Tabarani's teacher Ahmad is not given. If he is Ahmad bin al-Khalil, then he is da'if (weak); and if he is someone else, then I do not know him.
