Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11591

It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he used to recite these words as "qulubuna ghulufun" (Our hearts are coverings), that is, he recited it heavy (with full vowels), meaning: they are vessels of wisdom; that is, how could they be taught, when our hearts are vessels of wisdom, that is, they are vessels of wisdom.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Sulayman bin Arqam, who is matruk (abandoned).
