وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ مَوْلَاهُ وَجِبْرِيلُ وَصَالِحُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ : صَالِحُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْعَمِّيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) concerning this statement of Allah Almighty (Allah Almighty says): "Indeed, Allah Almighty is his Protector, and Jibril, and the righteous among the believers." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the righteous believers are Abu Bakr and Umar.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahim bin Zayd al-Ammi, who is matruk (abandoned).
