Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11343

وَعَنْ زِرٍّ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ حُبَيْشٍ - وَإِذْ صَرَفْنَا إِلَيْكَ نَفَرًا مِنَ الْجِنِّ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوا أَنْصِتُوا قَالَ : صَهْ ، قَالَ : فَكَانُوا سَبْعَةً ، أَحَدُهُمْ زَوْبَعَةُ . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Zirr bin Hubaysh narrates: (Allah Almighty says:) "When We directed to you a group of the jinn, they listened attentively to the Qur'an; when they arrived there, they said: 'Be silent!'" That is, they said: "Hush!" The narrator said: They were seven, one of whom was Zawba'ah.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
