Majma al-Zawaid 11301 — Surah al-Saffat

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates regarding this statement of Allah Almighty: (Allah Almighty says:) "By those who line up in rows". Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This refers to the angels. "And by those who drive with a stern rebuke". Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This refers to the angels. "And by those who recite the Reminder". Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This refers to the angels.
Al-Tabarani recorded it from his teacher Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Sa'id bin Abi Maryam, who is da'if (weak).
