عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " بَيْنَا أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ فِي نَعِيمِهِمْ إِذْ سَطَعَ لَهُمْ نُورٌ ، فَرَفَعُوا رُءُوسَهُمْ فَإِذَا الرَّبُّ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - وَقَدْ أَشْرَفَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ - تَعَالَى - سَلَامٌ قَوْلًا مِنْ رَبٍّ رَحِيمٍ قَالَ : فَيَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ لَا يَلْتَفِتُونَ إِلَى شَيْءٍ مِنَ النَّعِيمِ مَا دَامُوا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَيَبْقَى نُورُهُ فِي دِيَارِهِمْ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عِيسَى الرَّقَاشِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Paradise will be amid their blessings when a light will shine before them. They will raise their heads, and there will be the Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, looking down upon them, and He will say: 'Peace be upon you, O people of Paradise!' This is what is meant by the statement of Allah Almighty: 'Peace - a word from a Merciful Lord.'" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Lord will look at them and they will look at the Lord, and they will not pay attention to any of the blessings as long as they keep looking at the Lord, and the Lord's light will remain in their dwellings."
