Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11190

It is narrated about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he used to recite this verse: "In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, you spoke foul nonsense (tuhjirun)." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The polytheists used to speak foul nonsense against the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in their poetry.
Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Yahya bin Salamah bin Kuhayl, who is da'if (weak); Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Kitab al-Thiqat and said: His son Ibrahim narrated munkar (objectionable) reports from him.
(Allamah Haythami says:) I say: This narration is one of them.
