وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ بِوُضُوءٍ ، وَمَعَ كُلِّ وُضُوءٍ بِسِوَاكٍ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَلِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرُ هَذَا ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ حَسَنُ الْحَدِيثِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَلِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرُ هَذَا ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ حَسَنُ الْحَدِيثِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Were it not that I feared I would burden my Ummah with hardship, I would have commanded them to perform ablution with every prayer and to use the siwak with every ablution."
Imam Ahmad recorded this report. A different hadith from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) is recorded in the "Sahih". This report contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Amr bin Alqamah, and he is thiqah (trustworthy) and hasan al-hadith (good in hadith).
