قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ .
The words of Allah the Exalted: "Indeed, you and what you worship besides Allah are the fuel of Hell"
Majma al-Zawaid 11179 — The words of Allah the Exalted: "Indeed"
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : إِذَا بَقِيَ فِي النَّارِ مَنْ يَخْلُدُ فِيهَا جُعِلُوا فِي تَوَابِيتَ مِنْ نَارٍ فِيهَا مَسَامِيرُ مِنْ نَارٍ - قَالَ ذَلِكَ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا - فَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَحَدًا فِي النَّارِ يُعَذَّبُ غَيْرَهُمْ . ثُمَّ قَرَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When those who will abide in Hell forever are all that remain in it, they will be placed in coffins of fire containing nails of fire. He said this two or three times, and then said: They will not see anyone in Hell being punished except themselves. Then Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) recited this verse: "For them therein (in Hell) is groaning, and therein (in Hell) they will not hear anything else."
