قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ .
The words of Allah the Exalted: "Indeed, you and what you worship besides Allah are the fuel of Hell"

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنْتُمْ لَهَا وَارِدُونَ ثُمَّ نَسَخَتْهَا إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُمْ مِنَّا الْحُسْنَى أُولَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ يَعْنِي عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَمَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ مَوْلَى الْأَنْصَارِ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: This verse was revealed: "Indeed, you and what you worship besides Allah are the fuel of Hell; you will arrive at it." Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Then the following verse abrogated it: (Allah Almighty says:) "Indeed, those for whom the best (reward) has already gone forth from Us, they will be kept far from it." This refers to Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) and his companions.
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Shurahbil bin Sa'd, the freed slave of the Ansar, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) while the majority declared him da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
