قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : يُثَبِّتُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ .
The saying of Allah the Exalted: "Allah keeps firm those who believe with the firm word"
Majma al-Zawaid 11101 — The saying of Allah the Exalted: "Allah keeps"
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ : ( يُثَبِّتُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ ) قَالَ : الْمُخَاطَبَةُ فِي الْقَبْرِ : مَنْ رَبُّكَ ؟ وَمَا دِينُكَ ؟ وَمَنْ نَبِيُّكَ ؟ وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نَسْطَاسٍ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates concerning this saying of Allah Almighty, (Allah Almighty says:) "Allah keeps firm those who believe with the firm word in the life of this world and in the Hereafter." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: It refers to the questions and answers of the grave, in which it is asked: "Who is your Lord? What is your religion? Who is your Prophet?" And in the Hereafter there will be the like of it (questions and answers).
Imam Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Ahmad bin Ubayd bin Nistas; I do not know him. The remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
