Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11076

Muhammad bin Ali bin Abi Talib narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him): "People say that this saying of Allah Almighty refers to you, (Allah Almighty says:) 'And a witness from him will recite it,' and that you are the one who recites." Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I wish that it were I, but it means the tongue of Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain contains a narrator, Khulayd bin Da'laj, and he is matruk (abandoned).
