قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ ائْذَنْ لِي وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي .
The saying of Allah the Exalted: "And among them is he who says: Permit me and do not put me to trial"

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " اغْزُوا تَغْنَمُوا بَنَاتِ بَنِي الْأَصْفَرِ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ : إِنَّهُ لَيَفْتِنُكُمْ بِالنِّسَاءِ ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - : وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ ائْذَنْ لِي وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو شَيْبَةَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go out on campaign! You will gain the daughters of the Banu al-Asfar as spoils." Some people from among the hypocrites said: "He is putting you to trial through women (i.e. he is leading you into the jaws of death)." Then Allah Almighty revealed this verse: "And among them is one who says: Permit me and do not put me into temptation."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Ibrahim bin Uthman, who is da'if (weak).
