Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1104

Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform ablution with a "kuz hubb" (a vessel of a specific measure). The narrator states: what was meant is that he would perform ablution for the prayer; that is, performing ablution with that vessel would suffice him (peace and blessings be upon him).
Imam al-Bazzar recorded this report; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abi Hafs al-Attar, about whom al-Azdi says: the hadith scholars have criticised him.
