Majma al-Zawaid 1101 — How much water suffices for ablution and ghusl

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) report this about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): he (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform ablution with one mudd (measure of water) and take the ritual bath with one sa'.
Imam al-Bazzar recorded this report.
