قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ .

عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَهُوَ فِي بَعْضِ أَبْيَاتِهِ وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ ، خَرَجَ يَلْتَمِسُ ، فَوَجَدَ قَوْمًا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ ، مِنْهُمْ ثَائِرُ الرَّأْسِ وَحَافِ الْجِلْدِ وَذُو الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُمْ جَلَسَ مَعَهُمْ فَقَالَ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي أُمَّتِي مَنْ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَصْبِرَ نَفْسِي مَعَهُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَقَدْ ذَكَرَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ فِي الصَّحَابَةِ .
Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Sahl bin Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: This verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in one of his houses: (Allah Almighty says:) "And keep yourself with those who worship their Lord morning and evening." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out searching, and he found some people remembering Allah. Among them were some whose hair was dishevelled, some whose skin was bare, and some who wore a single garment. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw these people, he sat down with them and said: "All praise belongs to Allah, who has placed in my Ummah people with whom He has commanded me to keep myself."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih; al-Tabarani mentioned the narrator Abd al-Rahman among the Companions.
