وَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : نَزَلَتِ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَةَ يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ وَجِيهٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: This verse was revealed on the day of Arafah: "This day I have perfected for you your religion, completed My favour upon you, and approved for you Islam as religion." (Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates:) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was at that time standing at Arafah, and it was a Friday.
Al-Tabarani and al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Umar bin Musa bin Wajih, and he is da'if (weak).
