Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever unjustly kills a dhimmi will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise, although the fragrance of Paradise can be perceived from a distance of one hundred years."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah recorded it, but they recorded these words: "it is a distance of seventy years".
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat from his teacher Ahmad bin al-Qasim, whom I do not know; the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy) and are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Mu'allil bin Nufayl, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
