بَابُ قَتْلِ الْخَطَأِ وَالْعَمْدِ

Majma al-Zawaid 10719 — Accidental and deliberate killing
وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْعَمْدُ قَوَدٌ ، وَالْخَطَأُ دِيَةٌ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفَضْلِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Amr bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "For deliberate killing, retaliation (qisas) is due, and for accidental killing, blood money is due."
