Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three things about which, if I were to swear an oath, I would be truthful; and if I were to swear an oath about a fourth thing as well, I hope that I would not be sinful. (The first thing is:) Allah Almighty has not made the one who has a share in Islam like the one who has no share in Islam. (The second thing is:) the servant whom Allah Almighty takes as a friend in this world, He will not hand that servant over to anyone else in the Hereafter. (The third thing is:) when a servant loves a people, Allah Almighty will raise him with them (and among them). (The fourth thing is:) the servant whom Allah Almighty covers in this world, Allah Almighty will also cover on the Day of Resurrection."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and it contains a narrator, Fadal bin Jubayr, who is da'if (weak).
