عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ قَذْفَ الْمُحْصَنَةِ يَهْدِمُ عَمَلَ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ لَيْثُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ يُحَسَّنُ حَدِيثُهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Falsely accusing a chaste woman of fornication demolishes the deeds of a hundred years."
Al-Tabarani and al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Layth bin Abi Sulaym, who is da'if (weak), though his hadith is sometimes graded hasan (good); the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
