وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ - رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ - قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : وَاللَّاتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمْ إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ ، فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِهِنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَبَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - جَالِسٌ ، وَنَحْنُ حَوْلَهُ ، وَكَانَ إِذَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الْوَحْيُ أَعْرَضَ عَنَّا ، وَأَعْرَضْنَا عَنْهُ ، وَتَرَبَّدَ وَجْهُهُ ، وَكُرِبَ لِذَلِكَ .
فَلَمَّا رُفِعَ عَنْهُ الْوَحْيُ ، قَالَ : " خُذُوا عَنِّي " . قُلْنَا : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلًا : الْبِكْرُ بِالْبِكْرِ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَنَفْيُ سَنَةٍ ، وَالثَّيِّبُ بِالثَّيِّبِ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ ثُمَّ الرَّجْمُ " .
قَالَ الْحَسَنُ : فَلَا أَدْرِي أَمِنَ الْحَدِيثِ هُوَ أَمْ لَا ؟ قَالَ : " فَإِنْ شَهِدُوا أَنَّهُمَا وُجِدَا فِي لِحَافٍ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ عَلَى جِمَاعٍ خَالَطَهَا بِهِ ، جُلِدُوا مِائَةً وَجُزَّتْ رُؤُوسُهُمَا " .
قُلْتُ : فِي الصَّحِيحِ بَعْضُهُ . رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
فَلَمَّا رُفِعَ عَنْهُ الْوَحْيُ ، قَالَ : " خُذُوا عَنِّي " . قُلْنَا : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلًا : الْبِكْرُ بِالْبِكْرِ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَنَفْيُ سَنَةٍ ، وَالثَّيِّبُ بِالثَّيِّبِ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ ثُمَّ الرَّجْمُ " .
قَالَ الْحَسَنُ : فَلَا أَدْرِي أَمِنَ الْحَدِيثِ هُوَ أَمْ لَا ؟ قَالَ : " فَإِنْ شَهِدُوا أَنَّهُمَا وُجِدَا فِي لِحَافٍ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ عَلَى جِمَاعٍ خَالَطَهَا بِهِ ، جُلِدُوا مِائَةً وَجُزَّتْ رُؤُوسُهُمَا " .
قُلْتُ : فِي الصَّحِيحِ بَعْضُهُ . رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) says: This verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Those of your women who commit indecency" to the end of the verse. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) dealt with those women accordingly. Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was seated and we were around him. When revelation came down upon him, he would turn his attention away from us and we too would not address him; the condition of his blessed face would change, and he would experience difficulty from it. When the state of revelation ended, he said: "Take the ruling from me." We said: "Very well, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty has appointed a way for such women: if an unmarried man commits fornication with an unmarried woman, he will be given a hundred lashes and a year of exile; and if a married man commits adultery with a married woman, they will be given a hundred lashes and then stoned." The narrator al-Hasan says: I do not know whether
this is part of the narration or not: he said: "If people bear witness that the two were found under one blanket, and they do not testify to their intercourse, then they will be given a hundred lashes and their heads will be shaved."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of this narration is mentioned in the "Sahih".
Abdullah bin Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
