Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 10584

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: We used to say: There is no repentance for one who falls into trial (fitnah), when he has abandoned his religion after accepting Islam and after coming to know it. So Allah Almighty revealed this verse about such people: "O My servants who have wronged themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah." After this the narrator mentioned the full hadith. This hadith has already passed in the chapter on Hijrah.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Ishaq, who is a mudallis.
