Book of Legal Punishments and Blood Money
بَابٌ فِي مَنْ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ إِسْلَامِهِ - نَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ - وَهَلْ يُسْتَتَابُ ؟ وَكَمْ يُسْتَتَابُ ؟
One who disbelieves after accepting Islam (we seek refuge with Allah from that), is he asked to repent, and how many times

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ بَدَّلَ دِينَهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْهُذَلِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever changes his religion (by leaving Islam), kill him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Abu Bakr al-Hudhali, who is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حَيْدَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ بَدَّلَ دِينَهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ تَوْبَةَ عَبْدٍ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ إِسْلَامِهِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever changes his religion, Islam, and becomes an apostate, kill him. Allah Almighty does not accept the repentance of a servant who disbelieves after accepting Islam."
