وَعَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أُرَاهُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ - قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ :
" مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِذِي رُوحٍ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُبْ ، مَثَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَكٍّ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ .

رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَكٍّ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ .
Abu Salih al-Hanafi narrated this from one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
(the narrator says: I think that Companion is Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both). He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever mutilates a living creature and then does not repent of that deed, Allah Almighty will mutilate him on the Day of Resurrection."
Ahmad, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, recorded it from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) without any doubt, and the narrators of Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy).
