Majma al-Zawaid 10497 — The prohibition of mutilation
وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ النُّهْبَةِ وَالْمُثْلَةِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .
أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ النُّهْبَةِ وَالْمُثْلَةِ .

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) reports about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade plundering (anything) and mutilation.
