Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 10472

Sayyiduna Maslamah bin Mukhallad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever conceals (the faults of) a Muslim in this world, Allah Almighty will conceal him in this world and the Hereafter; whoever rescues one in distress, Allah Almighty will remove from him one of the distresses of the Day of Resurrection; and whoever is occupied in fulfilling his brother's need, Allah Almighty fulfils his need."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. Some reports with this meaning have already passed in the chapter on travelling in pursuit of knowledge.
