وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ :
" اقْتُلُوا الْفَذَّ مَنْ كَانَ مِنَ النَّاسِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ مُتَيَّمٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Kill the one who breaks away, whoever he may be."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains the narrator Salih bin Mutayyam, whom I do not know; the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
