Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 10426

In one narration the words are: The people began talking and mentioned enjoining good and forbidding evil, while Sayyiduna Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) sat silently listening to them. Then he said: "I have never seen, as I have today, a people more deserving of salvation, if they are truthful."
Al-Tabarani recorded it through two routes. One of them contains the narrator Layth bin Abi Sulaym, who is a mudallis, while the other contains the narrator Ali bin Sulayman al-Kalbi, whom I do not know. The remaining narrators of both narrations are thiqat (trustworthy).
