Majma al-Zawaid 10413 — Most of the hypocrites of my Ummah
وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" أَكْثَرُ مُنَافِقِي أُمَّتِي قُرَّاؤُهَا " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَأَحَدُ أَسَانِيدِ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ أَثِبَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Most of the hypocrites of my Ummah will be its reciters (that is, scholars or memorizers of the Qur'an)."
