Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Yarbu' (may Allah be pleased with him), whose name was "al-Sarm", narrates: On the day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are four persons to whom I will not grant safety, whether in the Hill (outside the sanctuary) or in the Haram: al-Huwayrith bin Nufayl, Miqyas bin Subabah, Hilal bin Khatal and Abdullah bin Sa'd bin Abi Sarh." As for al-Huwayrith, Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) killed him. As for Miqyas bin Subabah, his cousin killed him. As for Hilal bin Khatal, Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) killed him. As for Abdullah bin Sa'd bin Abi Sarh, Sayyiduna Uthman al-Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) obtained safety for him, because he was the foster-brother of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). Likewise, Miqyas had two slave-girls who used to sing poetry satirising the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); one of them was killed, and the other came and accepted Islam. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Abu Dawud has recorded a part of this report.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). Hadiths of this kind on this subject have already passed two leaves before this.
