Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When we were at the place called Sarif, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Abu Sufyan is near you; be on your guard against him." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O Abu Sufyan, accept Islam." He said: "O Messenger of Allah! My people, my people!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Of your people, whoever shuts his door will be safe." He said: "Grant something for me as well." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever enters Abu Sufyan's house will be safe."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Hakam bin Abd al-Malik, who is da'if (weak).
