وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " اشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ اللَّهِ عَلَى قَوْمٍ هَشَّمُوا الْبَيْضَةَ عَلَى رَأْسِ نَبِيِّهِمْ ، وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty's wrath will be severe upon a people who drove the helmet into the head of their Prophet, while that Prophet was calling them to Allah Almighty."
