➊ Allah and His Messenger, peace be upon him, are more beloved to him than anything else.
➋ He loves a person solely for the sake of Allah.
➌ It is as hateful to him to return to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it as it is hateful to be thrown into the fire.”

2. Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:

لا يؤمن احدكم حتى اكون احب إليه من والده وولده والناس اجمعين

“A person cannot be a believer until he believes in the good and bad of destiny, and also knows that what has reached him could not have missed him, and what has missed him could not have reached him.”

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما said: I have learned that he denies predestination. If indeed he has adopted this belief, then do not convey his greetings to me. Disassociation from Innovations and Sinners:

13. Sayyiduna Yahya bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates, I said to Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them), O Abu Abdur-Rahman (this was the kunya of Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with both of them)! There are some people among us who recite the Quran and claim that predestination (Qadr) does not exist. And this thought has just recently emerged. He said:
“When you meet those people, tell them that I am disassociated from them, and they are disassociated from me.”

Reference: Muslim: Kitab al-Iman: 1/8, Abu Dawood: Kitab al-Sunnah: 4695, Musnad Ahmad: Musnad al-Ashara al-Mubashshirin bil-Jannah: 27/1

At that moment, a woman from his household screamed. He could not say anything at that time, but when he regained consciousness, he said:
“I disassociate myself from that which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) disassociated himself from, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) disassociated himself from those who scream in calamity, shave their heads, and tear their garments.”

Tabarani narrated from Abdullah bin Amr رضي الله عنهما, at the end of which it says:

ما اعددت لها؟

“What have you prepared for it?”
As if the man became helpless, then he said:

Modesty and shyness are part of faith:

30. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) passed by a person from the Ansar who was advising his brother about modesty. He (peace be upon him) said:

Remember death and decaying things. Whoever desires the Hereafter abandons the adornments of this world and prefers the Hereafter over this world. So whoever has this character, it is as if he has been modest towards Allah as is His due.”

Religion is Easy:

35. Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (RA), the Prophet (PBUH) said:

الدين يسر لن يشاد الدين أحد إلا غلبه سددوا قاربوا أبشروا استعينوا بالغدوة والروحة وشيء من الدلجة

Consistency in Good Deeds:

Marriage is Sunnah:

39. Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that three men came to ask about the worship of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) at the houses of his pure wives (may Allah be pleased with them). When they were informed, it seemed as if they considered it insufficient, and said: What relation do we have with the Prophet (peace be upon him)? All his past and future sins have been forgiven.

One of them said: As for me, I will pray all night.

The second said: I will always fast and never break my fast.

The third said: I will abstain from women and never marry.

Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came and said:

انتم الذين قلتم كذا وكذا، اما والله إني لاخشاكم لله واتقاكم له لكني اصوم وافطر، واصلي وارقد، واتزوج النساء، فمن رغب عن سنتي فليس مني

Reference: Bukhari: Book of Marriage: 5063, Muslim: Book of Marriage: 1401

“You are the ones who said such things. Listen! By Allah! I fear Allah more than you do and I am more conscious of Him than you. But I fast and I break my fast, I pray and I sleep at night, and I have married. So whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not from me.”

Reference: Bukhari: 2529, Muslim: 4927

“Allah Almighty says: When My servant intends to commit an evil deed, do not record it against him; if he commits it, then record one evil deed against him. And when he intends to do a good deed but does not do it, then record one good deed for him; and if he does it, then record ten times for him.”

Prohibition of Being Fearless Due to Allah’s Plan:

50. Sayyiduna Abu Malika, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that I met thirty Badri companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. All of them feared hypocrisy concerning themselves. They were not fearless regarding their religion due to cunning or strategy. None of them claimed to have reached the level of faith of Jibreel (Gabriel) or Mikail (Michael), peace be upon them.

Prohibition of Slander:

51. Sayyiduna Ubada bin Samit رضي الله عنه narrates: We were in a gathering with the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم when he said:

تبايعوني على ان لا تشركو بالله ولا تسرقوا ولا تزنوا ولا تقتلو النفس التى حرم الله الا بالحق

“Give me your pledge that you will not associate partners with Allah, you will not steal or commit adultery, and you will not kill a soul which Allah has forbidden except rightfully.”
And in another narration:

ولا تقتلوا اولادكم، ولا تاتوا ببهتان تفترونه بين ايديكم وارجلكم، ولا تعصوا فى معروف، فمن وفى منكم فاجره على الله، ومن اصاب من ذلك شيئا فعوقب فى الدنيا فهو كفارة له، ومن اصاب من ذلك شيئا ثم ستره الله فهو إلى الله إن شاء عفا عنه

“You will neither kill your children nor fabricate falsehoods against yourselves, nor disobey me in what is good. So whoever fulfills this pledge, his reward is with Allah, and whoever falls short in this matter, his affair is with Allah; if He wills, He may forgive him, and if He wills, He may punish him.”
So we gave the pledge to the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم on all these matters.
And the statement of the Prophet

Prohibition of Causing Harm:

52. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that he said:

والله لا يومن ، والله لا يومن والله لا يومن

“By Allah! That person cannot be a believer, by Allah! That person cannot be a believer, by Allah! That person cannot be a believer.”
It was asked: O Messenger of Allah, who is that? He (peace be upon him) said:

الذى لا يامن جاره بوائقه

Prohibition of Calling a Muslim a Disbeliever:

54. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

من قال لا خيه: يا كافر ، فقد باء بها احدهما

“Whoever says to his (Muslim) brother: O disbeliever! then that word returns to one of the two.”
And in another narration:

اذ كفر الرجل اخاه فقد باء بها احدهما

“When a man declares his (Muslim) brother an unbeliever, then that word returns to one of the two.”
And in another narration:

ايما امري قال لاخيه: يا كافر ! فقد باء بها احدهما ان كان كما قال والا رجعت عليه

“Whoever says to his (Muslim) brother: O disbeliever! then that statement returns to one of the two. If he is indeed as he said, then fine; otherwise, this statement returns upon the one who said it.”

Prohibition of Claiming Knowledge of the Unseen:

55. Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) had a servant who used to give him tribute, and he used to eat from that tribute. One day, he brought something, and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was hungry. So, before asking him, he took a bite of it. The servant said to him: Do you know what this is? Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: What is it? He said: In the time of ignorance, I had told a person something about the unseen, although I had no knowledge of soothsaying; I had just deceived him. He gave me this in return. So what you have eaten is from that. Then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) put his finger in his mouth and expelled everything from his stomach (vomited it out).

Prohibition of Hard-heartedness and Cruelty:

“Modesty is part of faith, and the end of faith is Paradise, while obscenity and foul speech are from rudeness and hardness of heart, and the end of rudeness and hardness of heart is Hell.”

Prohibition of Hypocrisy:

57. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما that some people said to him: When we are with our kings, we speak certain things to them, but when we leave their presence, we say the opposite of what we said to them. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما said: “In the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, we used to consider this hypocrisy.”

58. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه also narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

Imam Nasai رحمه الله added these words:
“He does not know whom to follow.”

59. Sayyiduna Hudhaifa رضي الله عنه states that the hypocrites of today are worse than the hypocrites of the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. In that time, they used to hide their hypocrisy, but the hypocrites of today show it openly.

Prohibition of Falling into Doubts:

61. Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say:

ان الحلال بين والحرام بين، وبينهما مشبهات لا يعلمها كثير من الناس، فمن اتقى المشبهات استبرا لدينه وعرضه، ومن وقع فى الشبهات كراع يرعى حول الحمى يوشك ان يواقعه، الا وإن لكل ملك حمى، الا إن حمى الله فى ارضه محارمه، الا وإن فى الجسد مضغة إذا صلحت صلح الجسد كله وإذا فسدت فسد الجسد كله، الا وهى القلب

“Indeed, the lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are some doubtful matters, many people do not know them. So whoever avoids doubtful matters has protected his religion and his honor, and whoever falls into doubtful matters is like a shepherd who grazes around a pasture, almost grazing in it. Verily, every king has a pasture, and the pasture of Allah is what He has forbidden. Verily, there is a piece of flesh in the body; if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupted, the whole body is corrupted. Verily, it is the heart.”
