● Prayer of Fear:
The prayer performed in a state of fear from the enemy or during battle in the field of jihad is called “صلاۃ الخوف“.
This prayer is legislated in various ways depending on the situation of the enemy. For details, refer to the books of Hadith.
◈ Solar or Lunar Eclipse Prayer:
On such an occasion, the Prophet ﷺ performed two rak’ahs of prayer, making two bows in each rak’ah. After the first bow in each rak’ah, he recited, and after the second bow, he prostrated. After concluding with salam, he preached to the people.
In the narration of Sayyiduna Jabir رضي الله عنه, three bows in each rak’ah are established.
And in the narration of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas رضي الله عنه, four bows in each rak’ah are established.
◈ Essential Issues:
➊ To gather people for the eclipse prayer, ((الصلاة جامعة)) should be called.
➋ The eclipse prayer should be performed in congregation with loud recitation.
➌ On such an occasion, the remembrance of Allah, His Takbeer, and giving charity and alms should also be arranged.
