Allah Almighty explained the reality of man and the stages of creation
Allah Almighty has explained in detail in the Holy Quran the reality of man, the stages of creation, and his weaknesses so that man may understand his origin and not fall into arrogance or pride. These statements instill humility, modesty, and awareness of Allah’s greatness in man.
Creation of man in the light of the Quran
Surah At-Tariq (86:5-7)
These verses clarify the origin of man’s creation that he was created from a small and insignificant fluid (semen), over which he has no control.
Surah Al-Mu’minun (23:12-14)
These verses describe all the stages of man’s creation, starting from a drop of fluid to becoming a complete human being, which are signs of Allah’s power.
Surah As-Sajda (32:7-8)
Here Allah Almighty connects the origin of man to clay and then to a drop of fluid, showing man’s humility and helplessness.
Condemnation of man’s arrogance
Surah An-Nahl (16:4)
This verse describes human ingratitude and quarrelsome nature, that despite being created from a tiny drop, he argues with Allah.
Surah Al-Alaq (96:6-7)
Here the state of man is described that as soon as he begins to consider himself powerful, he becomes afflicted with arrogance and pride.
The Reality of Man in the Light of Hadith
Hadith 1
Narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
This hadith condemns human arrogance and ingratitude for Allah’s blessings.
Hadith 2
Narrated by Hazrat Ibn Mas’ud (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
This hadith explains the various stages of human creation, which demonstrate Allah’s power and wisdom.
Condemnation of Arrogance and Reminder of Reality
Surah Abasa (80:17-20)
These verses remind man of his weakness and ingratitude.
Summary
The Quran and Hadith explain the reality of human beings very clearly that they are created from a humble drop of fluid, which is a very insignificant thing. Allah Almighty has perfected humans through various stages by His power, but humans often forget their reality and fall prey to arrogance and pride. Allah has repeatedly reminded humans that their origin is from dust and a drop of fluid, and their end is the dust of the grave.
May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to recognize our reality, adopt humility, and avoid arrogance. Ameen.
