Question
If someone is unable to reach the mosque for I’tikaf before the Maghrib call to prayer on the twentieth of Ramadan due to some compulsion or helplessness, until what time must they reach the mosque for their I’tikaf to be valid?
Answer
The Sunnah is that one should begin I’tikaf in the last ten days; if one is late due to some compulsion, the I’tikaf is valid, but the person will miss out on the reward of the Sunnah I’tikaf.واللہ اعلم
