If Eid falls on a Friday, does the Friday sermon become void? That is, should only the Zuhr prayer be performed?
Answer
If Eid falls on a Friday, after performing the Eid prayer, the obligation of Friday prayer on that day is lifted. Therefore, one has the option to perform either the Friday prayer or the Zuhr prayer, but according to the Prophetic practice, it is preferable to perform the Friday prayer on that day.

صلى العيد ثم رخص في الجمعة فقال : من شاء أن يصلى فليصل
You have performed the Eid prayer, then you dismissed the Friday prayer and said:
“Whoever wishes to perform the Friday prayer, let him do so.”
