Taking the Quran from the mosque to home for reading
It is not permissible to take copies of the Quran and books that are dedicated for reading and benefiting at a specific place from there, whether it is the Sacred Mosque or any other place. However, if that place becomes deserted and uninhabited, then it is permissible to transfer them to a similar or better place for benefiting. But if something is dedicated absolutely for benefiting, then it is correct to benefit from it in another place, such as at home, with the permission of the supervisor. Moreover, there are countless copies of the Quran and their price is very low, so there is no need to take them from their place and carry them away.
