What is Sheikh Al-Jazairi’s opinion regarding the existence of jinn?
Answer:
The honorable Sheikh Abu Bakr Al-Jazairi said about jinn:
“Undoubtedly, it is established that jinn cause harm to humans; this cannot be denied, because it is proven by both auditory and sensory evidence. Reason does not call it a hallucination, rather it permits it and affirms its existence. If it were not for the angels of protection, whom Allah has assigned the duty to protect humans, no one would be safe from the jinn and devils. The reason is that humans cannot see them and they have the ability to move very swiftly, because their bodies are so subtle that our senses and consciousness cannot perceive them. There is no doubt that some jinn do harm some humans, and the reason is that humans harm them in some way, for example, by pouring hot water on them, or urinating on them, or unconsciously trampling on some of their homes. Then they retaliate by causing harm.”
