❓ Question:

Is the following narration authentic?

“My Master and Guide, the Benefactor of Humanity, the Noble Messenger Muhammad ﷺ said: ‘One who does not pay Zakat is better than the one who does.’ People asked, ‘How is that, O Messenger of Allah?’ He ﷺ replied, ‘A person should not even be so wealthy that Zakat becomes obligatory upon him. An ideal society is one in which there is neither a rich nor a poor person.’”

✔ Answer by Shaykh Abdul Wakeel Nasir حفظه الله:

The very wording of this narration itself clearly indicates that it is fabricated.
