The Ideal Way of Dealing with an Orphan
➊ First: Show kindness to the orphan, treat him with fairness, and protect and develop his wealth just as you would your own. Spend on him within reasonable means.
➋ Second: Use his wealth, within permissible limits and according to his needs and circumstances, to educate him in religious matters and other affairs of life, and to arrange his marriage with a suitable girl when appropriate.
➌ Third: When he reaches the age of maturity and understanding, hand over his wealth to him in an organized manner with witnesses, whether this wealth is his rightful inheritance from his father or acquired through other means.
