If household items are given at the time of marriage, is there any Sharʿi objection to this practice?

Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu waṣ-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, Ammā Baʿd!
Regarding dowry (jahez), I do not know of any Qur’anic verse or authentic ḥadīth that mentions it.
